The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS/UNESCO), and the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) have announced the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD International Scholarships for the academic year 2023–2024 in order to enhance science in poor nations.
Students from developing nations from outside are welcome to enroll in the study program. For consideration, candidates must not be nationals of China and be members of either the Chinese Academy of Sciences or the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO). The scholarship award covers all costs, including tuition and visa fees. Additionally, a monthly stipend is given.
The World Academy of Sciences is a merit-based science organization for developing nations, the World Academy of Sciences brings together 1,000 scientists from about 70 different nations. Its main objective is to advance scientific excellence and capability for sustainable development in poor nations.
Benefits of Scholarship
The selected Ph.D. scholars can expect to be awarded the following benefits:Â
- Tuition waiver
- Monthly stipend of 6,000 or 7,000 CNY/month (depending on whether the awardee has passed the qualification test arranged by the University), up to 48 months

- International travel allowance from awardee’s home country to China (one trip per awarded candidate)
