The China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE) have joined hands to introduce the Atomic Energy Scholarship AES Program (Phase 1). This program is designed to identify and nurture talented young professionals who are committed to advancing the peaceful use of nuclear energy, especially in developing countries.
The Atomic Energy Scholarship The AES Program has certain eligibility criteria in place to identify promising candidates who are committed to the advancement of nuclear energy. Candidates from countries other than China can apply if they hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines like nuclear engineering, energy, or physics. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English, which can be validated through a language proficiency certificate.

Scholarship recipients under the AES Program will receive comprehensive coverage, including:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
- Stipend
- Medical support
The duration of the scholarship varies depending on the degree pursued, with 2-3 years for Master’s degree and 3-4 years for a doctoral degree.
